By removing restrictive catalytic converters, ( for off road racing purposes)  the downpipes enhance exhaust flow and reduce backpressure, resulting in an increase of approximately 20 wheel horsepower (whp) as a standalone modification. Add a tuning and that power number jumps to 80 or more wheel horsepower!
